We start in the hamlet of Purslow and make our way to the village of Clunbury, then along the River Clun, (not forgetting Houseman’s lines on the Clun valley).
We then enter the valley of the Kemp, to the ascent of Clunbury Hill, with far reaching views to the iron age hillforts of Burrow Hill and Bury Ditches.
We descend and make our way to Hopton Castle, which is now being restored by the local community with the help of English Heritage, and then along a picturesque valley and up a steep gradient to Llan Farm and on to the River Clun before arriving back at Purslow.
