FRINGE ENTERTAINMENT 2008

Monday 9th June          Meet the leaders and old friends                               8.30pm

This year we are meeting at the Poppy House in Market Square where we shall be explaining the arrangements for the Festival and meeting old and new friends. If you require an evening meal, to be served at 7pm prior to the meeting, please contact the Poppy House or phone 01588 638443 by 3rd June 2008.

Tuesday 10th June                         ‘Gone to Earth’                                               7.30pm

At the Three Tuns we are proud to present the Mary Webb classic film ‘Gone to Earth’, which was filmed around Bishop’s Castle. Do not miss this evening. A meal will be included in the evening. Cost £15

Wednesday 11th June       A musical evening with ‘In Voice’                         7.30pm

At the Church Barn we introduce you to a musical evening with ‘In Voice’. They have a special blend of music we are sure you will enjoy. A foursome playing a variety of instruments including a hammer dulcimer. A meal will be provided. Cost £15

Thursday 12th June                             Final Night                                                   7.30pm
 Middle Woodbatch Farm. Meet outside the Boar’s Head at 7.15pm            

Our last evening will be at a new venue, with a hog roast and puddings.

Entertainment will be provided by ‘Day Level’ a unique twosome on guitars with their own music written by Sally Tonge, one of the performers.

This will be followed by a real Shropshire entertainment by Richard Beaumond and Val Littlehales who will introduce you to the Shropshire dialect and some of the past mystery of Bishop’s Castle. A real Shropshire evening, both ancient and modern, not to be missed.
