Welcome to the 2012 Bishops Castle Walking Festival which runs from Tuesday 12th June to Thursday 14th June.

The Festival is rated by our guests as one of the leading small festivals in the UK.

There is a new challenge this year ("The Three Dozen Challenge"), of 3 walks over 3 days (36 miles in total) and .....

.... the chance to try "Wild Swimming" with an experienced guide. Plus walks of all abilities with moderate 6 to 9-mile themed walks on the landscape, history and the environment. There are also two 2 to 4-mile leisure walks which consist of a behind the scenes look at Shipton Hall and a walk and sketching day with local water-colour artist Joan Baker.

Walks cost from only £9.00 per person per day. Walks tend to fill up fairly quickly so please book soon to avoid disappointment!

Delicious home-made cakes, tea & coffee will be available in the Church Barn every day after the walks .
